Birthday Leftover

कालचा वाढदिवस दणक्यात पार पडला. चिल्यापिल्यांच्या आवाजाने आणि मस्तीने घर दणाणुन गेले होते. आजचा दिवस मात्र कालच्या उरलेल्या पदार्थांवरच गेला. दिवस-भर इडली-चटणी-सांबार, वेफर्स, जिलेबी आणि केक खाण्यातच पार पडला. त्यात ते घरभर पसरलेले फुगे. इतके फुगे सर्वत्र झाले आहेत की आता त्याचे करायचे काय? खेळायचे तरी किती वेळ? जाऊ-देत फुटतील तेंव्हा फुटतील. तरी बरं झालं सगळेच फुगवले नव्हते. त्यात ते फनी चिमणीच्या आकाराचे फुगे.

संध्याकाळी बिग-बझारमध्ये गेलो होतो, ओजसला नेहमीच्या वापरासाठी कपडे आणायला. साहेब मोठे झाले आहेत, नेहमीचे कपडे घट्ट बसायला लागले आहेत. आज मस्त शॉपींग झाले, १००-१५० रु. मध्ये सही टी-शर्ट, शॉर्ट, ट्रॅक-पॅंट मिळाल्या. आणि आम्ही होतो तेंव्हाच तासाभरासाठी 'सॉफ्ट टॉय एकावर एक फ्री' ची अनॉन्समेंट झाली. मग काय विचारता लगेच एक टेडी बेअर आणि एक भुभ्या उचलला. मस्त मिळाला.

बाकी दिवसभर विशेष असे काही नाही, दिवस यथा-तथाच गेला, आणि पर्यायाने शनिवार-रविवारची सुट्टी संपली. उद्यापासुन नेहमीचे रडगाणे सुरु.

बुधवारी दोन लग्न आहेत. नसरापुरचे मामांच्या मुलीचे लग्न आहे आणि स्वप्नीलच्या बहीणीचे पण लग्न आहे त्यामुळे सुट्टी टाकण्याचा विचार आहे, बघु कसे जमते ते!!

पारीतोषीक सप्ताह

या आठवड्यात दोन-दोन पारीतोषीक घरात मिळाली. पहीले ओजसला शाळेत 'स्पोर्ट्स-डे' ला 'स्ट्रींगींग बिड्स' या खेळात मिळाल्याचे जाहीर झाले तर दुसरे मला - माझ्या ब्लॉगला 'स्टार-माझा' तर्फे घेण्यात आलेल्या मराठी ब्लॉग स्पर्धेत प्रथम पारीतोषीक मिळाले आणि त्या निमीत्त त्या चॅनलवर एक खास कार्यक्रमात ह्या पारीतोषीकाचे वितरण होणार आहे. म्हणजे थोडक्यात टि.व्ही वर झळकण्याची एक संधी साधुन आली म्हणायची की.

जेंव्हा ब्लॉग सुरु केला तेंव्हा इतका चांगला प्रतिसाद मिळेल असे अज्जीब्बात वाटले नव्हते. केवळ मनामध्ये चाललेले विचार, अनेक घटना, चित्रपट, वाचलेली पुस्तकांच्या अनुषंगाने सुचलेल्या कथा ज्या उगाचच डोक्यात पिंगा घालत रहातात त्या मनामधुन काढुन टाकुन कुठेतरी उतरवुन ठेवायच्या म्हणजे डोकं नविन विचार करायला मोकळे, केवळ याच विचाराने ब्लॉग सुरु केला होता. पण पहाता-पहाता ब्लॉगचा व्याप वाढत गेला आणि त्याला मिळणारा प्रतिसादही.

त्याबद्दल मी सर्व वाचकांचा आणि त्यांच्या प्रतिक्रियांचा तर ज्ञ्रुणी राहीनच पण त्याचबरोबर मराठीब्लॉग्स.नेट चाही राहीन, कारण त्यामुळेच मी माझा ब्लॉग इतक्या वाचकांपर्यंत पोहोचवु शकलो.

अर्थात मला पुर्ण जाणीव आहे की माझा ब्लॉग हा बेस्ट ऑफ द बेस्ट नाहीच. इतर अनेक ब्लॉग आहेत जे माझ्यापेक्षाही अधीक चांगले आहेत. कदाचीत त्यांनी ह्या स्पर्धेत भाग नसावा घेतला किंवा केवळ नशीबाची साथ नव्हती इतकेच मी म्हणु शकेन.

अर्थात काहीही असो, आनंदी व्हायला ही कारणं पुरेशी आहेत. बाप-बेट्याला दोघांनाही पारीतोषीकं मिळाली. आणि हे कुणामुळे झालेय हे सांगायची आम्हालातरी गरज नाही, पण तुम्हाला आहे आणि ते मी सांगीनच, पण इतक्यात नाही, योग्य वेळ आल्यावरच..

"Falling Teeth" Dream

I am terribly upset about this horrifying dream that is now a part of my sleep. I was relieved that for quiet some time i haven't had this dream. But yesterday AGAIN i dreamed it. I saw that my teeth are so loose that i touched it and one tooth fall. I touched another and that one goes down. One by one, my front-row was broken. I was sad that hence on i won't be able to have that 32-bit smile on my face again.

I was so shocked that i got awake and first thing i did is, touched my teeth to make sure that they all are in place. 

Today morning i immediately googled to find out the meaning of it, which is half true, at-least with the Anxiety factor. Anxiety, not related to looks, surely not for me, but SOME Anxiety is there.

Dreams of teeth falling scenarios include having your teeth crumble in your hands, fall out one by one with just a light tap, grow crooked or rot. Such dreams are not only horrifying and shocking, but often leaves the dreamer with a lasting image of the dream. So what does it mean?

Addictions

I am really addicted to different Addictions that come and go quickly. Not so long, i was addicted to Marathi Blogging. I was blogging like anything. It was a post per day like that. Looking at the comments, i believe i haven't done that bad. 'Vampire Diaries' put a break to my blogging. I got hooked to that book so much that i almost forgot i have blog to update. 5th part was pathetic and I finally left it half read.

Second addiction, movies. Yes i am back to my 'not-so-old' addictions of movies. That reminds me,  i have invested in a movie screen and a projector to watch movies. And i am hooked to it now. I have long late nights watching movies. Only difference is that i am neither watching 'Action movies' nor horror flicks. Somehow i am addicted to watching movies that are more into real-life stories. One example is 'In a pursuit of happiness', i really had trouble not to split out tears and then the other one 'Sex and the City' (I scaresly believe that i liked a girly, gossip movie like that), Holiday (Cameron Diaz & Kate Winslet and don't know the name of the Actor who reminded me of Bobby Deol) were fantastic movies. Couple of times, i downloaded mp4/3gp movies which are very small in size 100mb or so and they are good to watch on PC or on my 7" portable dvd player.

So till my movie addiction is ON, 'twilight' book needs to stand in queue.

According to think tanks, this has happened before. The extraterrestrials take care of the earth and the solar system whenever the solar system faces challenges like that.

Media and the future teller were already started heating up the topic that in year 2012 everything will be vanished.

Today all of a sudden i saw a news-show that says "Nothing to worry about" nothing like that is going to happen and that NASA also have confirmed that there is no evidence of such things happening in 2012. So chill and do not worry.

Well, its 3 years, even-if something gonna happen, why to worry about it right now? I am excited that the release date of movie "2012" is just 1 day far and i am determined to watch that movie in theaters.

Interview

OMG!! Is this really true?

It is really hard to believe that people like My Blog so much. I mean, yes i can see that by the comments on the posts but still!! Few days back one girl, Mohinee, buzzed me to say she like my blog. She said she is working as Journalist for some news-paper and also contribute to some website as well.

She said she would like to cover my interview for that website. I was zapped!. Did i heard it correctly? Honestly i told her that i don't see either my blog or me- myself worth-while to be covered under interview for any website. No really, i mean it. It is good to see that people like my blog, but i don't. I don't even care to read once, what i wrote.

I haven't heard from her for two days, but she got back to me today morning and she said, yes she certainly would like to cover-up that part on the website.

As far as media is concerned, in recent past, i have got a better coverage. Be it my couple of articles in Daily Sakal, Be it a photo and small comments in Nav-bharat or be it a reference of my blog in Lokmat. Its all fate isn't it :-)

I have given her my cell number, let's see how it goes.

Life in I.T.

Miserable, simply miserable. Not even 7-8 years for me in this field and i am too tired with it. I feel suffocated. Nothing wrong with my company, infact it is much better than the other big companies out there. People around me, everybody is good, friendly, co-operative. But the work i am doing, simply sucks. Just hate it. Everything is so monotonous.

Work i am doing, i believe, any Jr. person will do it, at ease and with enthusiasm because it is a new opportunity for him. But for a person like me, who holds a 5+ yrs of exp is not expected to enjoy this cheap work. Ofcourse i don't have much of a choice than to do it, and that is what it pains. DO IT, even if you DON'T want to, hurts.

Girl standing in my next cubic is blinking her eyes and smiling looking at me. Is she really happy? Well thats the question. I just lift my head and look around. People are too busy with their tasks, their daily targets. Shoulders down, head down, eyes steady on monitor, fingers fondling with the keyboard, deep breaths, hands banging on desk, or in air for a triumph. A triumph most of the time because of somebody took extra efforts to put the solution on some forum and google renders the same to you.

Tea time, people try to relax in short span, some crib about, some are tensed, some are happy everybody mixed with different emotions. Robots with emotions.

Clock ticking. Clocks hanging on the wall shows different international timings. A/c cooled the climate not the minds. Everybody is burning, burning with frustrations, burning with desire, burning with ambitions.

Tic tic tic, beep beep beep, click click click... WELCOME TO THE I.T. WORLD

Dream big.. Why?

Everybody talks about "Dream big, live big" and blah blah. I still don't understand WHY? What so wrong in living not so big? I enjoy small things in life. I feel pressurized when BIG things are about to enter in my life. Is it a problem with me? Is my mentality incorrect? Don't know, but whatever it is, i really enjoy living small. I neither believe to be a Big fish in small pond nor a small fish in Big pond. I believe in 'small fish in small pond'

Talking about financial things, again i don't have very big dreams. Money is very important in life, but i am not a money minded person. I don't chase money. Whatever i earn, i try to be happy with it.

Recently the decision that i took, won't take me high in life, not financially for sure. But it will give me a peace of mind, enjoyment and true meaning of life, what i have believed so far. I can't talk about 'What the Decision' is, unless the correct time come. But whatever it is, i will tell you for sure.

Recently i have seen people living happily, more happy than i am, in half the money i earn. So it shows, money is not everything. You can buy stuff, buy gadgets, by all what you can, but that doesn't mean you will be happy for-ever after that. And when i noticed this, understood this, i felt i am changed a lot. For diwali, i had a huge plans of buying stuff. Digital Camera / Laptop / Costly Bi-cycle / Bike / Car were in my wish-list and i was all game for that. But all of a sudden my view is changed, my attitude towards life is changed and i ended up buying just a 500/-rs shirt.

Well, i am happy about it and i am hoping that the decision i had taken will turn up good and will turn up soon.

Till then,.. nothing :-)

Vampire Diaries

Got hold of this book not more than 7 days before and instantly felt in love with the book. I was too addicted to read and finished first 3 parts in just 5 days. Super book it is. Story and all the characters were narrated so good that i literally felt all of them are just around me. Many a occasions, i was scared to see a Crow seating just outside the window he he :-)

Anyways, but the 4th part turned out to be too boring, un-realistic, stretched. I somehow managed to finish it. The thrill was missing from that part IMHO. Started with the 5th part, but the fact is i have lost the interest.  Done with 50 pages so far but the thrill is no where in between them which was there in first 3 parts.

I just couldn't digest the 'Angel', 'floating Elena' thing. Looks ridiculous.  My friend told me, 5th part is damn good, and i do believe her. Hope the good part will start soon.
